While I am still cranking on polishing up my presentations for EclipseCON (is it March 9th already!?), I am definitely looking forward to a week in sunn(ier-than-here) Santa Clara. Especially after the massive dumping of snow we got this weekend.
And to think, I was BBQ'ing steak a couple weeks ago...

Mark, I think a quite a few million of us are sick and tired of the snow, with this latest batch coming on the heels of several snow storms earlier in the week putting us all a little over the top!
My driveway, being L-shaped, seems to generate its own micro climate. There was a drift four foot deep Sunday morning. And my snow blower, just back from repairs to ensure that the belt that drives the wheels wouldn't fall off again, instead drops the other belt on first use. And because the cover for the belt was off, the belt driving the blower mechanism started to slip. The tears froze to my face.
When I phoned my parents in Vancouver later, I got cruel stories about how the crocuses were in bloom. I asked them to please pick another topic for discussion! I'll be visiting there after EclipseCon anyway, so there will be more cruel reminders of what I left behind when I moved to Toronto.
Indeed. This is definitely the most sick and tired of snow I have been in a looong time.
You guys in Southern Ontario don't know what snow is about. Come to Ottawa if you want real snow drifts. :-)
Good luck with the presentation at EclipseCON. So who's going to shovel all that snow when you're away??
